Last week the Washington Post ran an article on the 10 best places to eat in Beltsville. True, Beltsville is not the first place that usually pops into my mind as a dining destination, but I do like foods that are authentic to their origins and these top 10 were all “ethnic” foods.

Reggae artiste Anita Antoinette had the four celebrity judges on "The Voice" each giving a standing ovation for her rendition of Bob Marley’s Turn Your Lights Down Low.
Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, and Blake Shelton praised her exceptional talent with Pharell saying "This is a great day for you, because you have four people who can take you all the way there." This was Antoinette’s second attempt at the competition and Levine said she did her homework and returned to make an impact.
Stephanie Marie Miles, Miss Caribbean United States heads to St .Martin to represent the Caribbean American Community at the 24th Miss Caribbean Hibiscus Pageant. Stephanie the reigning Miss Caribbean United States is an exotic Jamaican - Chinese and Barbadian mix.
Caribbean Community Live is paying tribute to Legendary Reggae Artiste John Holt by playing his music all day on "Caribbean Train"
Holt died earlier today in a London hospital.

Walter Tull was born in Folkestone on 28th April 1888. His father was a carpenter from Barbados who had moved to Folkestone and married a local woman. By the age of nine, Walter had lost both his parents, and when he was 10 he and his brother Edward were sent to a Methodist orphanage in Bethnal Green.
